WebRings are a great way to find great fan web sites. Sites are grouped together into "rings" with other similar or related sites. Each site should have a ring navigation widget similar to the one below. When you are done on one site, you can simply use the widget to find another site on the same ring.

Web rings are also a great way to promote your fan site. We encourage all of our members to register their Sci-Fi sites in the FANGALAXY Web Directory, but if you are trying to build traffic on your fan site, you may also want to consider joining one or more web rings. If you decide to join a ring you should carefully choose one that is appropriate to the site you want to promote. Also, check to make sure the other sites in the ring are appropriate and that it is not full of broken links. You may not get as much traffic from a web ring as from a paid advertising campaign, but the price is right, and the traffic you get will generally be surfers who are really interested in your content.
